A Goal Finally Completed

After must studying, sacrifice, trials, and tribulations, I have finally completed a goal that started about 3 years ago. I passed my second test today and I now have a CompTIA A+ certification. Hurray!!!!!
*whew*
Funny how not being able to keep your current job if you don't get certified can motivate a person. At least they paid for the tests, which had been previous stumbling block for me.

I'm going to take a nap and then start catching up on all the work waiting for me here in the new house.
*sigh* shancara has a long list of things she has been very patiently waiting for me to start on. *smirk*

Oh, and I thought I would point out to those who have mentioned that I only post when things are bad and not when they are good, I've posted a good thing! *nyah*

Random Thought
This winter I experienced the second weird weather event of my life. The first one happened back in my college days when I watched lightning during a snow storm (and snowball fight). As Lewis Black put it, they don't even mention this stuff in the Bible; how scary is that! The second was having to scrape fog off my windshields one morning. Frozen Fog; sounds like a British dessert.

I can add this to my list of witnessed weather oddities.

1. Watching lightning during a heavy snow.
2. Scrapping fog off of my car windshield in the morning.
3. Mowing while snowing.

As Lewis Black commented once on lightning during a snow, they didn't even mention this stuff in the Bible!

I used to watch episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus on PBS when I was in Jr. High and Sr. High. (And I'm pretty old since I used those terms for schools.)

Let's see. What can I remember from my youth, going up in a small rural town...

Saturday Morning cartoons: Sci-fi - Jetsons, Johnny Quest, SuperFriends. Fantasy: Scooby-Doo, (God forgive me for this) The D & D cartoon, Flintstones.
TV shows: Space: 1999, Star Trek, Star Blazers, Godzilla, Speed Racer, UFO

Started role-play gaming in Jr. High with my friend James Ward. Played D&D. Then another friend Randy Crider introduced me to Champions, which is why my dice collection has soooo many d6. My first gaming convention, I believe, was Fal-con at Bowling Green State University. I still kick myself for not buying more of those Champion figures blister backs. *sigh*

My friend Richard Katterjohn was my comic book buddy and Sci-Fi buddy. It was him, I believe, that introduced me to Marcon. I can recall attending 1 or 2 years at the Radisson before the convention was moved to the Hyatt/Ohio Center. I've been attending Marcon since.

It was at Marcon where I met my friend Dylan Fraser which has led me down a long chain of new friendships and adventures.

I'm an all-round geek, in body shape and interests. Anime, card games, board games, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, RPG, computer gaming, movies, TV, etc.

Hmm, but that all sounds to bland. Let's try...

The name Kyle is only spoken in hushed whispers, mainly due to the speakers having laryngitis from cursing him. What follows is the list of unspeakable acts for which he is wanted for prosecution and punishment.

TYPE P
You scored 62 imagination, 50 confidence, 54 dominance, and 58 generosity!

You are a KINKY, CONFIDENT, DOMINANT lover who prefers to give.

This means that:

You like relatively kinky sex, and you have the great imagination that will always keep your partner guessing and excited! There's no getting bored with you around, you could never settle for dull sex, you want something fun and new all the time. You aren't afraid to try out anything you hear about. You might just be an intelligent lover who needs to be mentally engaged, or perhaps you have some dirty dark secret kinky desires, but either way, you're never boring.

You are pretty confident in bed. This means that you know you can please your lover. Maybe you've read a lot of sex manuals, or have the experience from previous lovers, or just tend to be skilled at whatever you get your hands on, but you're good and you know it. You can really get results and know that you have pure talent, so you won't be hiding away shy, pretending to be all innocent. Your partners love your naughty self assurance, you don't hesitate and this makes you a sensational lover.

You tend to be dominant in bed, so you prefer to be the one giving the orders than taking them. Maybe you like the power, or just like controlling the pace, perhaps your partner likes to be dominanted, or maybe you get a kick out of the whole master/slave relationship, it could be something as small as liking to be on top during sex and tie up your lover to tease them, or it could be as kinky as them having to ask your permission to do anything at all. Either way, you are firm and you enjoy it!

You prefer to give than recieve. This makes you a very unselfish lover, devoted to the needs of your partner rather than your own. You get your pleasure from seeing them get theirs, you are a model sex partner. I'm sure plenty of people would love to have someone like you in bed with them! Remember though that if your partner gets pleasure from returning the favour it's okay to let them, they might love giving as much as you do!

WE SUGGEST YOU:
get into some slightly more hardcore fantasy territory. Go for bondage in a not so light and fluffy way and discover just what you really like. Want to play master/slave games? Want to be tied up or tie someone up, in just enough discomfort that they don't quite relax? Want to try a threesome? Maybe you'd even like to try out sado-masochism. It's your call. Whatever you do, unleash that kinky thing you've always really wanted to try and give it a go, you're a great lover, and you know it, up for anything, generous, imaginative, confident, and happy to go for what you want, so enjoy.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 21% on imagination

You scored higher than 8% on confidence

You scored higher than 29% on dominance

You scored higher than 32% on generosity

Link: The What's your sexual style? Her husband Audon was talking with her on the phone after his shift was done and could tell that her speech as slurred. So he stopped at her workplace to check on her. When he arrived Sunny was surprise to see him because she thought that she had just got off the phone with him. They took her to a hospital where they more tests, such as an EEG. They have ruled out strokes and brain atrophy. They think she may be having seizures of some form and will be doing further testing. *sigh*

Just got an email from my dad yesterday with the following info about my sister Sunny:

Sunny called this evening and she almost passed out at work. She was dizzy, had slurred and slow speech, and others were concerned about her health. Their health center doctor put her on a swivel chair and pushed her to the elevator and out to the street, put her in a cab and sent her to the Emergency Room. They diagnosed that she had brain atrophy. This is similar to a stroke but not quite there. She is not to go back to work until after she has tests at the Hospital on Monday. If it happens while she is at home, she is to get to the hospital or call 911. Please keep her in your prayers that the medical people can determine the cause of her problem and treat it so that condition does not reoccur.

*sigh*

I have a 5 day weekend, whether I wanted one or not. School is on spring break and the offices are closed Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. So we don't work and we don't get paid. *sigh* At least I'll have time to work on getting ready for my move at the end of the month. This time I got a truck sooner and from a reliable place, my storage company. So now I drive over to pick up the truck, drive it a short distance to my storage unit, pick up a desk and chair and misc, drive home, load up, drive, unload, and then return truck, with possible items for storage. And I'll have the truck for the whole day.

Have I mentioned how much I hate moving? Guess I need to learn how to move and adjust.

He gave me a note that says I'm restricted to No Talking for 1 week. *sigh* Guess I picked the wrong week to be team leader. When I stopped at Marc's to get my cough medicine prescription filled, I picked up some notebooks so that I can start my wonderful week of writing everything down to communicate. So if I don't answer my phone, please leave a message. All this time people have been working to get me to talk, and now I have to be silent. *sigh*

Yesterday I came home and discovered that my work badge was no longer on my shirt. Rats! I have one of the few surviving badges from the start of the project. My badge number is 24 and does not have my name on it, so there are several teachers and staff who know me only as Agent 24. :-) After checking my car and home I still couldn't find it and started thinking where it might have fallen off at the school. Today I checked in the school office; no badge turned in. Then I started checking rooms and found the badge in the room I thought it would most likely be located. Yea!!! I have my identity back!

Today I woke up with a sore throat and a rather hoarse voice. Talking was rough. So today was one of those days you regret being made team leader. As I have one of the two Nextels for our project, I'm liason between the site and the server team. A couple of times I had to hand it to a coworker to talk for me. *sigh* Then there was all the talking I had to do with the teachers and staff, especially when they aren't happy we just removed all their installed programs by re-imaging it. Fortunately, it's really not my responsibility or problem.

So now my voice sounds like one of those old ladies who chain-smoke and sit at the slots with a bucket of quarters. *sigh*

I hope change is good.

Thursday morning I woke up with a sore throat and aches, which made my work day uncomfortable. Friday morning it was worse with a cough starting. I spent the morning debating whether to stay home or go to work. Then I realized I was debating too much and decided to just stay home and rest. I went back to sleep for awhile before I had to get up and go to my psychiatrist appointment. I'm going to start a new ADD drug called Strattera. I read through the info sheet that came with the samples and I wish I hadn't. Now I'm nervous about the side effects. *sigh* After a trip to the pharmacy to get my current prescription refilled I came home to finally rest and get better. But instead of sleeping I watched the Firefly marathon on Sci-Fi, even though I own the dvd set. I'm such a geek.

James and Beth had a dinner party that night. I had planned on playing plague boy and hide in my room, but they invited me to at least share in the meal. James made some great lasagna. I tried to watch the season finale of Battlestar Galactica and Star-gate, but the talk in the dining room caused me to miss a lot of lines. Oh well. I'm sure someone out there can help me. :-)

When I went to bed, my cough suddenly got worse and has been a problem all day today. I did manage to get a lot of sleep, which surely helps. So all my weekend plans have been disrupted by my cold. *sigh* There will be other chances.

I'm currently house-sitting for M & V and I need rest and silence. I've been pushing myself without enough sleep and my body is complaining. My head is full of voices and I can't hear the voice I need to hear most. The current running joke is that the old Kyle is tied up with CAT5 cable and stored in the basement. The new Kyle is "bold and sassy". Old is Kyle past; new is Kyle present. But the voice I need to hear is the Kyle that lives in the attic, the one that has been, is, and will be Kyle. That voice is really tough to find and I'm not used to trying to find it. *sigh*

Rest. My body aches and complains. And energy is tough to find in the evenings, so things are SLOWLY getting done. But things are getting done, like taking care of my friends' home and pets. Saturday I took them to the airport. Their daughter recognized that she was at an airport and asked if they were going on an airplane. She is so cute and smart. See mzwyndi and shancara for my activities that day, in addition to transporting people to the airport and my stuff to the house.

I woke up Sunday morning to pets that needed feeding and out, then went back to sleep. I spent the afternoon doing chores then went to gaming. I came home and prepared for bed, which included letting the dog Jessie out. When I went back out to bring her in she wasn't in the yard. She had jumped the fence. It's 11:30pm and I have to find a large black dog in the woods next to the house. *sigh* Eventually I heard her at the creek and tracked her down, which involved having to jump over the creek to get to her side. The miracle of the evening was not finding her, but catching her. Usually she has to be lured close with food, but when I came close to her I used my best commanding voice (not that tough considering how angry I was with her) told her to stay. And she did! Jessie was brought back in and cleaned up. But by this time my body was wide awake and I didn't fall asleep until some time between 1:30am and 2am. *heavy sigh*

Monday after work my routine was to head to the M & V house, let the dog out (ON THE LEASH!), head home, let that dog out for a short walk in the back yard, pick up things I need, head back, unload, do some chores, take Jessie for a walk, fix dinner, do more chores, study, watch Battlestar Galactica again (just because I can :-), and head to bed. *whew* Tuesday was much the same, but I left work later than Monday. So I decided I was too tired (and busy) to go to pizza night. *sigh* But I did get some clues that there will be a positive change for me at work. Nothing official yet. :-)

Well, it's bedtime for me. So I hope for rest and silence.
